What To Expect
Explaining what happens at a typical Structured Visual Thinking Session™ (SVT)
Welcome to Your Upcoming Structured Visual Thinking™ Session
We're excited to work with you soon.
Our approach is designed to make our time together productive, engaging, and focused on real solutions.
We call this approach structured visual thinking. It is our proven approach to helping teams consider the incredible opportunities and challenges leaders face when imagining the future and their plans and strategies.
We recognise that to make the best decisions, we need the best information. Gathering many voices can be complex, but without that, we can quickly chart the wrong course and solve the wrong problems.
We’ve designed a powerful antidote to that complexity, and you will soon be together with us on the ground to witness it. Here’s a little about what to expect
Just a few of our global clients
Here's what you can expect:
Before the Session
We've done extensive preparation:
Analyzed your current context and circumstances
Reviewed materials defining your operational environment
Created visual frameworks to guide our discussions
These frameworks already contain meaningful information to provoke thoughtful conversation.
A glimpse into the process
The Session Environment
You'll enter a safe environment where all questions and genuine debate about the topic at hand is the order of the day
A visual framework will structure our conversations—there’s no other agenda than thinking critically about the topic
No extensive preparation is required from you – we value your energy, hearts, and minds as they are
What We'll Accomplish Together
Typically*, we collaborate to cover:
Alignment around the outcomes and intentions
Value propositions for stakeholders
A shared, inspiring vision of the future
Realistic assessment of challenges and barriers
Understanding of necessary operational/system changes
Required capabilities and skills
Next steps and action plans
Team collaboration strategies
Governing principles and criteria
*Every session is different and unique to the challenge
Session Structure
While we follow a logical sequence, we're flexible to spend time where it's most needed.
Expect:
An orientation to the room, the tasks and the visual frameworks
Regular breaks (mid-morning, lunch, mid-afternoon)
Typically finishing around 5:00-5:30 PM
No awkward icebreakers or warm-up exercises
Post-Session Outcomes
The visual approach allows for various deliverables:
Alignment on strategy and next steps
Tools for moving forward
Potential for collaborative platforms to continue conversations
Options for wider stakeholder communication
We are not together to record discussions but to create engagement, ownership, and a clear path forward. Based on our work together, the specific outputs will be tailored.
